Back in school, you’d never see Kayla without Danni by her side.  During the 4th grade Danni moved into Kayla’s neighborhood and was often made fun of by the other kids on the bus.  The kids on the bus would call Danni “four eyes” for wearing glasses or “Jaws” for having braces on her teeth.  She felt alone and alienated for an entire week until Kayla caught the bus one morning.  Kayla asked if she could sit in the seat next to Danni and instantly, the two were best friends.  They did everything together after that until their junior year of high school.  It was then that Danni’s family moved away.  Danni’s Dad was in the military so it was fortunate that they had lived there that long. 

At first, Kayla and Danni exchanged letters and phone calls, but as things got busy after graduation and life got hectic, the two lost touch.  Danni got married and had kids while Kayla became a teacher after college, and then married and had kids herself.  They still would often think about one another though and imagine what their life might be like.  After Danni’s divorce, she realized that she had been too busy with married life and work to make many real friends and she had no one to talk to or to identify with.  She realized how much she really needed Kayla in her life.

By luck, Danni discovered a web site on the internet where one could check  someone out and get their address and phone number.  Danni wondered if she could find her old friend by using the site.  She wasn’t optimistic though because her assumption was that Kayla had probably gotten married and her last name wouldn be different.  However, just for kicks she decided to type in Kayla’s name and old address.  It didn’t take long for Kayla’s new married name and phone number to be displayed along with a lot of other information.  A marriage license provided Danni with the man whom Kayla had married.

Danni discovered that Kayla only 120 miles away from her!  Danni was nervous as she picked up the phone to call her old friend.  Hearing that familiar voice caused Danni to think back immediately to their childhood and all the fun times they had had together as young girls.  Kayla was absolutely thrilled to speak with her old best friend.  And the two of them became best friends again just like they did that day on the bus.  They made plans to visit one another and they talked with one another all the time.  Their children became quick friends as well.  Danni packed up, left her old life behind and moved 20 miles away from Kayla.  It was just like old times!  If not for www.CheckSomeoneOut.com, Danni and Kayla may have spent the rest of their lives wondering about each other rather than enjoying their old friendship once again.
